Whitney Kessler

Whitney Kessler is a trend and design consultant who specializes in identifying both macro and micro aesthetic developments and consumer lifestyle patterns for use in the creation of new styles, products and business strategies. 

Trend forecaster, market researcher and concept designer with 10+ years of experience working for both agencies and brands.

My freelance projects have ranged from analyzing activewear markets for Hanesbrands and Dick’s Sporting Goods to translating back-to-school product trends into actionable design concepts for Staples. Prior to becoming a private consultant, I worked as an editor for over five years at Stylesight — a leading trend forecasting website (later acquired by WGSN.)  I served as the Associate Women's Editor, Young Men's Editor and Accessories Editor, in addition to cultivating and overseeing the website's film and celebrity coverage. As an editor, I traveled to, photographed and reported on festivals and events, showrooms, trade shows and fashion weeks. I also provided bespoke seasonal key item lists and custom shopping guides for design teams at major brands, such as Target and Disney.
